Latest News   2/15/2008 Verne Wells Obituary   Services Held For Verne Wells (7406 Support Squadron)   Verne E. Wells, 75, of Baxter, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Services were Feb. 16, 2008, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment was Feb. 19, 2008, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Riley. Verne was born Oct. 26, 1932, the son of Virgil and Eris Wells in Rake, Iowa. He graduated from Blue Earth High Scfhool before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Verne served his country for 20 years before retiring. Verne was united in marriage to Roberta Anderson in May 1977. He then worked for the Wadena School District where he was a bus mechanic, bus driver and transportation supervisor. Verne liked to dance and enjoyed music. He loved to fish and greatly enjoyed his many fishing trips with his children, grandchildren and frields. He was a member of the Wadena VFW and the Brainerd American Legion. His survivors include his wife of 30 years, Roberta; children, Curt Wells, David Wells, Daniel Anderson and Douglas Anderson; his brother, Glenn Wells;10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
