This history is mainly derived from microfilm copies of the 7499th Support Group official histories from 1955 through 1965, and supplemented by further declassified 7406th Support Squadron histories up until 1972. This latest took effect 25 May 2005. This history has been greatly enhanced by further information from former 7406th personnel and other sources. We welcome further information and comments.
